We value your child’s safety and their spiritual growth. For parents bringing
their kids to church, we have great things they can get involved with!
(6 months – 5 yrs.)
Each Sunday, members serve our children by praying for them beforehand, showing up with a friendly smile, and a willing heart to share the Gospel with the sweet children the Lord has placed in their care! We ask that volunteers read a Bible story to the children and discuss it with them, allow time for free play, water/snack break, and if it’s sunny, they go outside to the playground! OBC Kids occurs during the service, and check-in may begin at 10:15AM.
We would love to answer any questions you may have about our ministry or how to get involved.
Please contact Faith Cote, our Children’s Ministry Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions!
(1st – 4th grade)
We offer this during our spring and fall semesters, with time off during the holidays and summer time. We strive to offer a safe and fun environment for our elementary aged kiddos, while also teaching them biblical truth!
We use a curriculum called Praise Factory, which comes from Capitol Hill Baptist Church (the church that planted Oakhurst). This curriculum focuses on a specific passage or text, and has activities, games, songs and memory verses to go along with it. The students in the Grove learn more about God and his Word through our volunteers, and they have fun while doing it! The Grove occurs during the sermon, and check-in may begin at 10:15AM.
