Student Ministry

Oakhurst Student Ministry (OSM) exists to serve the members of this church by investing
spiritually into the lives of our 6th-12th grade students.

Sunday Morning Worship

The Christian life is lived out in the context of the local church (Rom. 12:4-5), and the regular assembly for worship is central to that life. We want our students to participate in the Sunday morning worship of this local church. That means coming to worship each Sunday, singing loudly, praying together, taking notes during the sermon, and heeding the gospel that’s preached to them and displayed in communion and baptism. Join us this Sunday at 10:30am.

“We will seek to bring up those under our care in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, and by a pure and loving example will seek the salvation of our family and friends. (Titus 2:1-6, Deut. 6:4-7).”

Student Ministry Events

We don’t want to be an event driven ministry, but we do recognize the value of common experiences for building friendships and making lasting impressions on our students. Because of this, we want to offer events each year for our students to participate in: “Big Events,” like Summer Camp or Winter Retreats, and “Small Events,” like Fall Bonfires or Spring Ice Cream Socials.

Two events that we want to have every year are our Fall Promotion, where we celebrate bringing rising 6th graders into our Student Ministry, and our Spring Graduation, where we celebrate graduating 12th graders leaving the Student Ministry.

For upcoming dates, or changes to our normal schedule, please check the Upcoming Events.
